Classic Rock-n-Roll, a little heavy metal, some of the newer stuff, in small doses. My favorite band is Pink Floyd ... lots of feelings in there and have been able to relate to sooo much since getting sober ... try it!

The Big Book, The Bible, NA's Basic Text ... there are a few others that would fill this entire section, and then some, but these are the most important ones to me, today! I refer to them as MY OWNER'S MANUALS!

Not much into sitting in the dark and watching someone else's fantasies, however there have been a few good movies that I have watched ... mostly with big guns, explosions and criminals losing to Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris or Charles Bronson ... just none lately!

My biggest hobby is tearing stuff apart, see how it works and putting it back together and make it work again. Fixing stuff, making stuff from something else ... just being inventive and imaginative.
Walking in the woods ... there's lots of that 'round here ... talking with good friends and family.

Name is Jim ... AKA 'Dusty' ... and a few others from the addiction days that I won't list here!... 56 with a few 24 hours of sobriety. Made it into the rooms of AA through the issue of a couple 'creative driving awards', a few 'kicks' in the backside from my desserted Higher Power and a few words from several people that love me ... THANK GOD! The love of life and living has changed my entire way of thinking. Was born around the Big City and found the need for a change of location. Found a bit of paradise in Blue Ridge Mountains of Western Maryland a few years ago. YES, it was a geographical in the beginning, but what a wonderful place to enjoy sobriety and LIFE! Have a wonderful family and a few REAL friends and have found that the true meaning of happiness isn't in a bag, bottle or some other 'container'.

I LOVE MY WIFE AND FAMILY ... don't know why they hung around with me and for me, but I am forever grateful that they did! I don't deserve them ...
There are so many things that I have found that I like and enjoy in life today, but here are a few of the most important of the enjoyable ... family, friends, camping, hunting, fishing, walking, NASCAR, NFL - especially the RAVENS, drag racing ... just living life!

Fake people, Authority figures that MUST remind everyone that they ARE in charge, ALL THE TIME!, 'Holier-Than-Thou' individuals, self-centered politicians, mosquitoes, flies, TAXES, INFLATION, POVERTY, WAR, THE PRICE OF FUEL and IGNORANCE ... just to name a few!

Just a lil dusty huh? I guess I'm just a year dustier than you lol. I'm always young at heart so, I think I can make it through a little while longer. Wow, the summer of 69 was one to go down in history with woodstock! But then their was the Manson murders and Kent State. I would rather focus on the positive our generation left for the young ones now. So many awesome bands came out of that era! My grandkids play their music all the time! I was in Hawaii having a blast that summer and guess what? I didnn't drink and was to scared to do drugs of any kind. It's just been the past few years that alcohol kicked my butt...I'm kicking back though!

Take care my dusty friend
