Well first I want to say that I am sorry for running away from you wonderful friends and GOD.  If you did not know I decided that I thought that it was going to be a good idea to go to the bar.  Instead of what I like to do more than a lot of things in the world.  I got f**kin drunk a day after I had 6 months in smart hugh.  It just makes me think that maybe I don't have a chance of staying sober.  Although I met with my Pastor today and went over some things that I really want to do and that will help me make it one day at a time.  On a positive note I started school on Monday what a change a good one I think.  I Love all of you wonderful people Your friend Trent

Trent: just surrender and work the program the simple ways it is meant to be worked. All who really want it are meant to be clean and sober! You'll do just fine when you surrender!

Lot of good input here.  The good thing is, we all understand.  You can start over.  Learn from the mistake and try again.  Plus, take one day at a time.

Why did six months of sobriety and one drunk day convince you that you couldn't stay sober?  I'd say that if you only get drunk once in six months, that sounds quite sober to me.  Just figure out what caused that slip and work out how not to do it next time.  So you are not perfect, you are making progress.  Your best thinking didn't do you any favours but you know what to do, that's why you are here.  Keep on working it. You are not alone, having trouble staying sober after significant chunks of time.

30, 60, 90 - 6mos, a year- Our disease wants us dead.

    Good to see you back. Don't kick yourself in the butt too much. You're back, That six months wasn't wasted and can't be taken away. Learn from the slip and keep trudgin the road. Don't give up before the miracle happens...
