I can’t believe that its 5 years sober today for me. No relapses, Just God holding me.

 

I believe in the AA promises and if you really apply yourself and give God EVERYTHING, surrender, everything, HE can work in your life.

I’ve been with this site for most of my sobriety life and I love helping those that need it.  You do have to work a program, you do have to stay positive, and you must surrender.

 

DON’T ever give up. Don’t ever say; there is “NO WAY”.  That’s not in God’s book or in mine.  I have issues and problems, but not where I’d want to go have a drink and ruin all the work that I have done.  If I do, which is rare, I think of the awful things that came with my drinking and that makes it stop real quick.

NOTHING ever good comes from drinking and drugging.  We all know that; just apply it to your life.

The AA Promises


 



  1. We know a new Freedom and Happiness.

  2. We will not regret the Past nor wish to shut the door on it.

  3. We will comprehend Serenity.

  4. We will see how our experiences would benefit others.

  5. The feeling of uselessness and Self Pity will disappear.

  6. We will lose interest in Selfish Things.

  7. Self Seeking will slip away.

  8. We will know Peace.

  9. Our whole attitude and outlook on life will change.

  10. Fear of People and economic insecurity will leave us.

  11. We will intuitively  know how to handle  situations which used to battle us.

  12. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we couldn’t do ourselves.

 


Our these Promises impossible, WE THINK NOT!
