Well it has only been 3 weeks ago and so much has happened but I needed to post what I learned. At my home group on Friday night I asked for the topic of "tolerance" to prepare for the game. I NEVER bring up a topic. There at the meeting was a visitor from Ohio State U. and that weekend was the famed Michigan/OSU game and if you all know, that may be the biggest rivalry in college football (Army/Navy game too). Anyway as he flew out he had his OSU shirt on & the ticket taker had a Mich. shirt on. Well he was flagged to be checked and his bags were lost when he arrived. "of course that darn Michigan fan did all that against me" he said. LOL we all know that really was not the case. So I took that and ran with it!
SOMETIMES WE ASK FOR TROUBLE AND HAVE OUR TOLERANCE TESTED FROM OUR OWN ACTIONS.
Wow, what a concept. So Mom & I pulled up to the lot to park and it began. We both had bear stuff on and I stayed calm, found some bear fans & hung out with them. There was a tailgate full of hawk fans with some bear friends so we were not alone. After the game and the loss when there was problems 3 years ago I planned ahead. I put my coat on to cover my Urlacher jersey and walked out of the stadium to go back to the car. Guess what! Not one Seahawk fan said one thing to me. I walked in peace (like Jesus, lol) It was so good. Amazing, a simple dash of humble and I found peace with no need to test tolerance.
I love this program because not only is it a program to stay sober but a guide on how to live!
Love you all and God bless,
Jeff
